Be Part of an intentional Farm Community dedicated to the study of Zen. The Bioreserve is an educational non-profit and the heart of our non-profit are the volunteer offers both overnight work-trade volunteer opportunities and educational volunteer days that involve on-hands learning in regenerative farming, horticulture and botany. We are an educational non-profit and all volunteer opportunities are also educational opportunities in the fields of regenerative farming, conservation, horticulture, arboretum management, nursery management and the study of Zen. We like to maintain an environment conducive to learning and we are looking for folks who are interested in these fields.
Our work-trade opportunities provide overnight accomodations in the cabins above Emerald Falls. Facilities include indoor kitchen and full bathrooms with hot water and showers. Cabins are double occupancy, The work-trade requires joining the work-crews from 8AM to 1PM Monday through Friday and joining the Morning Zen practice before the work practice. All work-traders are given opportunities for additional work income either hourly or by weekly stipends. We maintain a crew of 4-6 volunteers.,

Volunteering/WWooFing Application
- Our program is not meant to be an option for a beach or surfing vacation, we are looking for sincere students, either for farming, horticulture or Zen studies.
- Ask yourself if you are interested to commit to a daily Zazen practice. It is required by all residents.
- By joining our community, you are also committing to the fundamental precepts, which include to do no harm and to abstain from intoxication. This means no pot smoking and no drug use.
- We maintain an LGBT friendly, prejudice-free environment.
